In the face of unprecedented attacks on the environment and the EPA, activists and organizations are fighting back in creative ways. Join us for an interactive workshop on "Organizing to Defend the Environment," as we discuss and strategize how individuals can effectively advocate on issues like environmental justice, protection of national monuments, political interference in policy making, and DMV-local environmental issues.

Through breakout groups, we will learn from experts on grassroots mobilization, science, and effective advocacy to come up with strategies for fighting attacks on the environment. Join us to find innovative ways to organize people to protect the environment and take action!

 When: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Where: Mt. Pleasant Library, Large Meeting Room, 3160 16th Street NW (Columbia Heights Metro)
